ILCOR paediatric BLS/ALS guidelines: the updates, the evidence

Gabrielle Nuthall is a Paediatric Intensive Care Specialist who works at Starship Child Health, Te Toka Tumai, for Te Whatu Ora / Health New Zealand. Gabrielle did her first APLS course a few years ago (in the late 90’s) and became an instructor not long after. Her favourite part of teaching APLS courses is the reassurance that comes from meeting all the inspiring colleagues that do courses and those from different specialties. Gabrielle’s other areas of interest include: Medical Mediation, Medical Simulation as a far-reaching tool to ensure not only patients and whanau get the best possible safe care, but also that staff are supported in the best possible way. Gabrielle is the Lead SMO for the Patient at Risk team at Starship, and has been a long standing member of both the New Zealand Resuscitation Council and the Pediatric Task Force of ILCOR (International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation).
