I learnt a lot in a very supportive environment. Being the only nurse could have been intimidating, but everyone was very supportive.
Intense, but highly useful and relevant. It’s fantastic to have such a set, structured approach. I feel more confident approaching sick children now and I thoroughly enjoyed the course, thanks very much.
Lectures are very succinct and to the point with a great emphasis on ingraining algorithms and problems in the subconscious memory. Scenarios are very encouraging and engaging, and the course dinner is excellent – great to relax and get to know fellow participants and instructors.
Great course - would recommend it to anyone. Felt a little behind being a RN not Dr, but no difference in treatment which was good.
Awesome course. I loved the dinner, really nice to get to know your fellow participants and tutors, they are the nicest family. The course is very well structured, enthusiastic approachable tutors, supportive environment. I felt eased into the scenarios with the lectures, workshops, skills practice and being shown a demonstration in front of the group. I learnt a lot!
Well organised, very interesting, scenarios and workshops very useful. Lots of fun!
Fantastic, learnt so much. Feel confident now to be first attendee at emergent situation.
The best thing I got from this course was the application of a structured approach in order not to miss a diagnosis or critical management step. I should have done this years ago. It's fantastic for confidence building – I really enjoyed the supportive, positive feedback and adult learning principles, unlike some other courses where I'...
Workshops are excellently run, really interactive and a fantastic way to learn and consolidate. Scenarios really pushed me out of my comfort zone but I learnt so much from them.
Repetition of algorithms helpful to reinforce details and group scenarios very helpful. It’s refreshing to do a medical course that’s actually based on and run with recognised adult learning principles!
