Kate Trenoweth discusses how systems in healthcare settings can save lives and the evolution of emergency rapid response teams.
Speaker biography:
Kate is a Medical Emergency Team (MET) Clinical Nurse Consultant at Lady Cilento Children's Hospital in Brisbane. Kate has been a paediatric emergency nurse for 15 years and has worked in both clinical and educational roles. She has a particular interest in rapid response systems, clinical redesign, and quality improvement and continues to dabble in education and simulation when the opportunity arises. When she is not working she can usually be found undertaking an international trek from her ever expanding wish list.
